Virus Protocol

Dahlia viruses are unfortunately quite common, but we prioritize the health of our plants and the integrity of our growing environment.

Our virus protocols ensure that any plant exhibiting any signs of virus is promptly culled. We also use a bleach solution to thoroughly sanitize our snips between each plant, and our pitchforks when digging tubers. In addition to these practices, we are inspected by the Department of Washington Agriculture annually and focus on soil health, enriching our growing medium to promote robust root systems and overall plant vitality.

This does not ensure 100% virus-free plants, but we are taking proactive and preventive measures at all times.
